All of the tops in the Canterbury collection are made from solid Oak each top being made from several planks of oak which are glued together using a “lightning joint” increasing the surface area of each joint to create a much stronger bond.

 To further increase the stability of the solid tops on extending tables, underneath the top going across the grain, several angled iron bars are inserted (illustrated on the leaf in the main picture). The grain of the extension leaves matches exactly with the grain of the main top, this feature sets the canterbury range apart.  

Individually created by time-served craftsmen, using methods from the past and the best in modern design, the Canterbury range encapsulates both.
