Antique/ Vintage 4'6" x 2' Solid Oak Pedestal Desk - old and needs restoring

We do not know how old this desk is but this desk has been used in our family for at least 60 years (office desk in two different companies) and was originally purchased by my Dad as a second hand desk in around 1965 (My guess is the desk is circa 1940). Entirely made from solid oak including the drawers and even drawer bases are from solid oak. From the pictures you can see that the dovetailed joints are hand cut. Standing on baker-light castors which I believe are original, these help to move the desk around. Pictures show one of the backboards is missing and the top needs re-glueing/finishing. The handles are the original oak knobs (rare) although one of the knobs has a piece missing and needs repair.

Brass locks fitted to all drawers bar one, but no keys so you would need to get locksmith to make keys (all drawers are presently unlocked)

The Desk needs restoring and would make a great piece for someone to restore as a project.

Lighter coloured drawer fronts are where I have in the past scraped off the finish with the intention of re-finishing which I never got around to.
