A timber frame with meticulous, decorative carving inspired by British woodlands defines the Larsson bed. It will bring a relaxed kind of refinement to your bedroom, because the paintwork uses two colours that are distressed in the places it would naturally wear. It makes it feel practical as well as beautiful.

Comes standard in the Antique Salt colour, please note that for all other colours a service charge is applied.

The Headboard is covered in Chloe Trellis, although the fabric is standard on this bed it can easily be changed as the upholstered board can be removed.

    The finish

Our Larsson designs come in Antique Salt as standard; a soft white shade that’s gently distressed to reflect their Gustavian style. You can also customise them in any of the shades from our paint collection – just note they will have a smooth rather than distressed finish.

    Upholstery

The textile we’ve used on Larsson’s headboard, Chloe Trellis, is made from 100% Belgian linen. Stonewashed for softness, with a slubby texture (the little bumps and lines characteristic of linen), and in a grey-toned neutral, it’s the ideal complement to Larsson’s distressed colour. If you’d like a change later down the line, the panel can be removed and reupholstered.

    The bed base

Larsson’s sides sit snugly underneath the mattress to conceal the timber slats beneath and so it asks for a little less room. It also means you’re not as likely to bump your shins when walking around it in the dark.

    The slats

Beech is used to make the slats on each of our beds because it’s flexible and reliable. They’re sprung, which means they curve upwards to provide a little extra bounce underneath the mattress. They’re held in place with discreet, cream-coloured clips. Beds larger than a single have an extra support in the centre too

    Design detail

Larsson is a piece that has British and Swedish influences. The proportions are slim and delicate, like so many Gustavian-style pieces of furniture are and what makes it work so well in bedrooms. The carved details – like spruce cone finials and wildflower motifs – only add to its prettiness.
